Half an hour late to bed

There are many things I want to blog about because I've been extremely lax in entries. It's practically been a month plus since I went to the gym. Sickness piled up on top of the holidays will do that, as will my wrist that needs attention still. Had a good New Year. Reading more of Little Lost Robot. Saw "Mommie Dearest" the other day. Also started playing with the old school iMovie that was packed on my G4 so that I now have a hideous copy of myself singing along with two songs from the musical "Wicked" that I chopped up into pop song versions. I've decided I want my friend Patrick, who detests the musical "Wicked" for political reasons (he feels it is a travesty of the book), to hear the travesty I made of trying to sing along with the songs, because while I enjoy singing, and had enough of a decent voice once upon a time to sing the lead in a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, and in chamber choir in high school, the renditions I gave of "Defying Gravity" and "Popular" are just painful. I have plenty of excuses to make for myself (a} I'm out of practice, b} it's impossible to try to sing along with these songs with no sheet music, c} it's hard to keep up with these recorded voice tracks and sing at the exact same time as Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel) but it's still just painful to listen to.
