Why I am so sedentary
Hmm, I should be asking that question rather than trying to answer it. Once again on a weekend day I have been sitting on my butt in the apartment killing time all morning and soon all afternoon on a Saturday, not leaving the apartment even though I had plans to. Today's clothes are on the counter in the bathroom next to the utter filth, i.e. gathering dust. Yecch. I hate having to clean that so often. Maybe I'll just do it today before I leave the house.
I wanted to update the "Old History"/"New History" items on the site today but maybe will do it later. Need to blow thru some of the DVDs I have purchased recently on the cheap, as well as go to the post office.
My CUBICLE HELL page-a-day calendar by Scott Adams tells of a woman who asked a postal worker how much for a roll of 100 stamps. "Thirty-two dollars," says the postal worker. "Thirty-two DOLLARS?! For STAMPS??" "And we wonder why postal workers are disgruntled," said the original emailer. That tale made me think if I was next in line I would ask, very loudly: "I'll have THIRTY-TWO ROLLS OF STAMPS PLEASE."
Then I realized I would be buying $1024 in postage in one go. Then again, the story is a little dated as First Class stamps are now 37 cents each.
