Old History: "TopStoryLive: The Show"
The Show
You be the producer!
Or...
Sick of management shooting down your ideas? Tired of reporting on today's city council meetings and agriculture? Want to dish the REALLY big ideas?
Imagine if you will...
Today at 8 PM Eastern time, you have an hour-long newscast going up on MSNBC, entitled Top Story Live.
Ashleigh Banfield is the main anchor. She will be flown to the site of whichever story is the top story of the day to report on the story and anchor the rest of the first block.
Whichever "block" contains the day's top story floats to the top. Then, the rest of the rundown follows in order.
The show's base rundown is as follows:
Top stories block
National block
International block
The world's biggest weather and health news block
The world's biggest sports news block
Entertainment and other news block
Recap
After the first block, each block is then anchored by another anchor-correspondent, who each in turn is live from the top story of THEIR block. Pick any talent you like, from the big networks to your own station.
What stories are important today, in your opinion?
And what would you do if money and time were no object?
All right, go to it!
Post your ideas and read those of your peers in The Show Message Board.
