Who you callin' Hoegaarden?

Sometimes it's good to go out with your co-workers and put your drinking in their hands. One of our sports guys introduced me to Hoegaarden. Nice. Lighter, "ale-ier" -- as if I know ale from dark beer!

I dunno, I get the idea that "pussies wusses drink lite beer" and dark beer puts hair on your chest or something. According to what, the conventional wisdom? Stupid commercials of the past?
