Tasty punishment, Mom!

ABCNEWS.com : Is It OK to 'Hot Sauce' Kids?

Apparently the latest thing in punishing your child is to give them a taste of "hot sauce." Seems strange to me. Creative, yes.

I don't know, folks. I like spicy food, and I know I'm not the only one, so it seems strange to make spicy food associated with punishment. Yeah, I suppose a child's palate may often be undeveloped such that a taste of Tabasco may sting. But it doesn't seem like it would hurt that much, and what if the child develops a taste for the hot sauce? In other words, what if he or she likes it? "Mmm, let's try that on some fried chicken, Mom."

Then I guess the parent will have to get even more creative with the punishment.
