Do I want to be Wonbo Woo?

USATODAY.com's Peter Johnson reports, it appears, that ANN, ABC News Now, is like CNN supposedly was in the early days: randemonium, as Frank Zappa termed it.

Furthermore, one-man digital bands are going network this way:

"Knowing that we're trying new things, that we are able to use new technologies and new faces on air, is an exciting experience," says Wonbo Woo, a World News Tonight producer who does man-on-the-street interviews for ANN.

He chatted up Jennings at the Boston convention and will do it again in New York. Armed with laptop, video camera and cell phone, Woo is a one-man reporter, cameraman, producer and editor.

"This new technology gives us the ability to go out in the field and broadcast live from anywhere with high-speed Internet access — wired or wireless — using equipment we'd have with us anyhow. No satellite dishes, no videophones, no bulky added equipment," Woo says.
